"Boston hospital"

About: Pilgrim Hospital / X-ray and Scans

(as the patient),

I went straight from my doctors, who told me to go for a scan. I got to the hospital and sat waiting half an hour to be seen which was fine. The nurse checked my blood pressure put a cannula in and took some bloods. This was done at 3: 30. I had to ask someone what was happening at 5: 45. Someone came to me 10 minutes later and I was told my bloods were all fine and the ultrasound department was closed so no scan was done. Today I'm still in a lot of pain and no one cares. If I’m still the same tomorrow and don’t get any answers I will start stamping my feet until someone takes me seriously. Extremely disappointed in the so called care providers.

Dear Kizzy72

I would first like to say that I am extremely sorry that you have had reason to complain about the service you received when attending Pilgrim Hospital, Boston and would like to thank you for raising these concerns.

Unfortunately it is difficult to fully resolve this issue without further information. I would encourage the patient to discuss their concerns with PALS, to allow me to provide a full investigation. Full details on how to contact the team can be found here www.ulh.nhs.uk/patients/patient-experience/contact-pals/

Genuinely listening to our patients experiences of care is extremely important to us and learning from where we could have done better is a corner stone to our journey of continuous improvement.

Regards

Sarah
