My mother in laws consultant haematologist arranged for her bloods to be taken as he was concerned about her most recent that request was sent on Thursday, as she had not heard anything by the afternoon of the Monday. I contacted phlebotomist office and home appointment was booked for Wednesday between 9-4. No one came by 15:30 I contacted phlebotomists office again but it was constantly engaged. My mother in law was to have telephone consultation with consultant on Friday where he would discuss next course of treatment she has leukaemia so really important for bloods.
There was no contact from phlebotomists to say they weren’t attending as you can imagine my mother in law was extremely anxious ( she’s 83yrs) I was frustrated as couldn’t get in touch until today .
