"Amazing Team"

Following a 6.5 hour appointment at Royal Papworth I was admitted on 12th may for upper right lobectomy and lymph node removal for likely small cell lung cancer. All he way through my care has been amazing. Everybody, from consultants and nurses, to porters, caterers and cleaners have helped to make my stay as comfortable as possible; no easy task in these times. I had ups and downs during my stay but there was someone there whenever I needed them. I was discharged but readmitted due to Surgical emphysema, which was a very scary time. However, once again the team were amazing helping me to feel comfortable, explaining the cause, and monitoring to make sure this did not cause a serious problem. I am pleased to say that I have been very lucky in that the cancer has been removed and I do not require any further treatment. I would like to pass my thanks to everyone on the team who made all this doable I would not have got through it without each and every one of them. Thank you.
