"A very high standard of professionalism and good humour."

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Accident & Emergency Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as the patient),

As a retired nurse with a history of recently diagnosed angina I had reason to suspect I was experiencing a mild heart attack.

I have e mailed the ambulance station directly praising the two ladies who attended me in the first instance with a very high standard of professionalism and good humour.

On their advice I was taken to the ED at QEUH.

There they were extremely thorough and even took a chest x ray. Thankfully the relevant cardiac enzyme was low - which was a huge relief.

At no point was I worried about Co Vid all staff knew what they doing and followed their professional protocol perfectly.

I was discharged within three hours with all relevant advice regarding follow up care.

Very grateful for our NHS staff.

Hello DMN,

I'm sorry to hear about your recent visit to hospital - it must have been a very worrying time for you! I hope you're on the mend now and it reassuring to hear that the relevant cardiac enzyme was low.

Thank you for taking the time to share this lovely feedback with us. I am so pleased to hear that the staff at QEUH treated you promptly and professionally and that you received good advice about your follow-up care. I have shared your post with the team at the ED and they are delighted to receive such positive feedback, especially from a fellow nursing colleague.

Best wishes,

Rachel

Dear DMN

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your lovely feedback on Care Opinion. And thank you for emailing the station directly to provide kind words to our crew. I am truly grateful for that. I imagine that chest pain can be quite worrying, particularly if you have some medical experience and know the queue's and flags.

It is clear that all who cared for you from our crew to the staff at QEUH have made a positive impression and carried out their duties with the professionalism we expect.

I hope that you feel better now and wish you all the very best.

Kind Regards

Alan
