As a retired nurse with a history of recently diagnosed angina I had reason to suspect I was experiencing a mild heart attack.
I have e mailed the ambulance station directly praising the two ladies who attended me in the first instance with a very high standard of professionalism and good humour.
On their advice I was taken to the ED at QEUH.
There they were extremely thorough and even took a chest x ray. Thankfully the relevant cardiac enzyme was low - which was a huge relief.
At no point was I worried about Co Vid all staff knew what they doing and followed their professional protocol perfectly.
I was discharged within three hours with all relevant advice regarding follow up care.
Very grateful for our NHS staff.
"A very high standard of professionalism and good humour."
