"Help following bicycle accident"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Accident & Emergency Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as the patient),

Thursday 4th June 14.00 Haymarket, Edinburgh. I came off my bike after catching the tram rail and injured my eye. I was attended my an ambulance driven by Sean and Curtis. The attention I received, and the care and detailed assessment was most reassuring and comforting, and their patience and interest was greatly appreciated. I received 12 stitches to my eye and removal of a small shard of specs. lens. All seems to be healing well after 5 days.  Please convey my thanks to them and to their managers.

All the best.

Dear Dawes,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on CareOpinion. I am sorry to read about you coming off your bike, and to end up with 12 stitches and a small shard of glass being removed must have been really quite painful. I am glad to read that it seems to be healing well. It sounds like it could have been a lot worse.

I am also pleased to read about the care afforded to you by Sean and Curtis. It would seem they have shown you the care that you deserve and acted with the professionalism we would expect. I would be more than happy to pass on your thanks to them and their manager for you. Thank you for the information provided, it has allowed me to locate the job and the staff.

I wish you all the very best in your recovery and stay safe.

Kind Regards

Alan
