"I would like to pass on my thanks"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Assisted Conception Services Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Maternity care (Wards 47, 48 & 50)

(as the patient),

Hi

I wanted to take the time to pass on my thanks to my Labour midwife Nuala. I really can't tell you how amazing a job she did to make myself and my husband feel at ease. She always fully explained what would be happening and when and really made labour a less anxious time for us. We had complete confidence in her from the get go due to her manner and professional insight. I just really wanted to make sure she got the credit she deserves for being an absolutely fantastic midwife and I can't thank her and the student nurse Hannah who was also amazing enough for delivering my beautiful daughter into the world safely on the 8th May 2020.

I would also like to pass my thanks to all the staff at the assisted conception unit at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. All the nurses and doctors we seen were amazing. In particular nurse Pam and Dr Banks. Before myself and my husband went through the service we were exceptionally nervous however the staff were brilliant and put our minds at ease. We can't thank this amazing service enough for giving us our Daughter.

Hello Midwife Patient,

Happy 1 month birthday to your little one and huge congratulations to you and your husband!

Thank you for taking the time to share this really lovely post with us on Care Opinion. It is fantastic to hear that the staff put you at ease and looked after you so well.

I have shared it with the team at the Assisted Conception Service at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and with the team at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, who will ensure it is shared with all of the staff you have named. They would like to pass on their thanks for your kind post and congratulations on the safe arrival of your daughter.

Best wishes,

Rachel
