I was admitted to the Coronary Unit C1 via A&E and CDU late evening on 28/5/202; I had a swab for Covid 19 and put on a side ward, this in itself was reassuring evidence of the kind of care I could expect. When I awoke the following morning all the staff I met were friendly and knowledgeable which gave me confidence and I was able to trust I was receiving the appropriate care. The cardiologist who diagnosed atrial flutter was open, honest and informative which reassured me. Also, what impressed me the most was the cardiologist's ability to immediately 'hold' me emotionally in a way that I associate with being in a therapeutic relationship with a very good counsellor. In my limited experience of being in hospital that holding quality I believe is quite rare. Thank you very much for the diagnosis, care and successful treatment.
"Deeply grateful"
