About: Chorley & South Ribble Hospital

Useless! I tried to check times for a blood test which isn't listed as a department. The numpty administrator who set up the 'phone system has it totally wrong. I spoke very clearly stating that I wished to speak to the blood test clinic. The automatic reply asked me, in a very muffled manner, if I wanted Chorley or Preston. 3 times I said Chorley and it couldn't understand!! Eventually I was answered by the switchboard who immediately gave me the information I require. Support for front line staff, yes! Administrators No!! By the way, this is the web site for Chorley & South Ribble Hospital. The spell check is highlighting the words Chorley and Ribble as misspellings!!!!!!!!!

I was sorry to read about your issues that you experienced with the automated service, but happy that you got the response you needed in the end through our switchboard. Apologies on behalf of the NHS website for highlighting words as mis-spellings I am not sure why this is and will alert them to it. Please may I suggest that if you have any further difficulties accessing our services via telephone that you contact either our switchboard again or our PALS team on 01772 522972 who will be happy to help.
