"Felt safe and excellent treatment of husband"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital

Today my husband attended an appointment for a cancer pathway appointment. He was concerned that he may have cancer and that attending an appointment might put him at risk at this corona virus time. Also that he would be undergoing a painful procedure. Well, from the first and second phone callS prior to appointment our minds were put to rest. Every aspect explained clearly, detailed outlines of what to expect received in the post, and absolutely first class treatment and care on the day.... for him and me. I dropped him off, had a phone call explaining how he was and when he was to be discharged. I arrived to pick him up, was told where and when to go and followed what I was told. On meeting him the secretary/receptionist went quickly to see him, and explained that he would be able to meet me in just a few minutes. I was concerned about how Covid 19 would impact on my dropping him off/picking him up. I should not have been. Yes, I left him at the door, but I was telephoned and told to meet him after his procedure in the ward. At all times he and I felt safe. There were screens, sanitiser, many staff in masks etc, but at no time did we feel that this was “over the top” or threatening. Thank you, once again MPH. First class treatment, care and consideration. We are very lucky to have you.
