"Telephone appointment"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as a service user),

I usually go every 12 weeks to see the consultants at The Exmoor Unit, North Devon District Hospital.

Owing to the current situation this was a telephone appointment/consultation. It was super! - quick, friendly and efficient. I usually go to Pharmacy after to collect my meds but the hospital arranged for delivery to my local GP's Surgery (Wooda in Bideford) in fact the Surgery phoned me the same day to say me meds had arrived.

Brilliant all round!

Dear Bideford528

Thank you for taking the time to update us regarding the positive service you experienced during your telephone consultation with the Exmoor Unit.

I have spoken to Will Aspinall, Service Manager for the service and Karen Nichols, Ophthalmology Failsafe Officer who have been working hard to maintain the service during this period. Their aim is that all patients feel safe whilst continuing to receive a high level of care, thus maintaining contact during their treatment plan, it is good to hear that the system is working well. Your comments will be forwarded to all involved.

Thank you again for your feedback, it’s appreciated.

Lisa
