About: Kilbryde Hospice

(as a relative),

My Brother passed in 2019 and was cared for by Kilbryde hospice. I am receiving counselling at the moment which has been very helpful. The team at Kilbryde provide amazing care to the patients and families.

Dear 8Kmb9

Thank you for taking the time to post your story on Care Opinion. In my role as Clinical Services Manager it is very reassuring to hear that you have benefitted from our counselling service and especially at the moment during COVID-19. Often, the general public think that our care ceases on the death of the people we care for either at home or in our in-patient unit but as you demonstrate this is not the case. I hope that by posting your story it may encourage others in the same situation to seek support from Kilbryde.

I can imagine that the months since your brother died must have been very difficult for you so I am glad that Kilbryde Hospice spiritual care/counselling team was there to help you through it. I will pass this very positive feedback onto all our staff and volunteers who continue to provide this service. This will give them an enormous boost to receive it.

Take care of yourself in the future

Kind regards

Margaret Mary Cowan

Clinical Services Manager
