"Weekly Phone Calls From Hospice"

(as a relative),

My mum receives a weekly call from Cathrine the chaplain at the hospice and makes my mums week. She says Cathrine puts things into perspective for her and really helps just by chatting and listening to my mum. My mum feels like they have known each other for years how comfortable Cathrine makes her feel. I feel Cathrine really goes over and above what we would have expected for support after my dads passing.

Dear Kirsty1107

It was so refreshing to receive your very positive feedback on the weekly support calls being made by Catherine our Chaplain to your Mum. You mentioned that Catherine has been your Mum's listening ear since your Dad's death. As Clinical Services Manager this is very reassuring to know that your Mum has someone to "put things into perspective" for her as I guess this is what she needs at the moment. Kilbryde Hospice staff have continued to work during lockdown, from home, supporting people like your Mum so I am delighted that this has been well received.

I will pass this very positive feedback onto Catherine personally and to all the staff working from home who are continuing to support patients and families. They are often forgotten about but are doing great work.

Kirsty please pass on our regards to your Mum and please look after yourself in the coming months.
