"I cannot praise all of your staff enough"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Accident & Emergency University Hospital Ayr / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a parent/guardian),

My son broke his arm this week and I just wanted to post about how fantastic our treatment was from start to finish. We arrived at A& E and were triaged within minutes. A lovely nurse practitioner Jill then saw us and took care of us for our whole visit. I was slightly apprehensive about being in a hospital at this time but she reassured us. Linda and another lady who put his cast on were like a comedy act and kept my 7 year old smiling and laughing through a painful time. Due to going for several x-ray’s etc we were moving about the hospital and genuinely every member of staff we encountered checked we were ok and asked if we knew where we were going etc. I cannot praise all of your staff enough. My son is currently selling sweetie boxes to raise money for a donation to the A& E department as a thank you. We’ll deliver it soon x

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide feedback. I was pleased to read that you had a positive experience and the staff concerned will be delighted to read your post. I hope your son is coping well with his cast.

How kind of your son to be making and selling sweetie boxes - what a lovely idea and an extremely kind gesture.

kind regards
