About: General practices in Greater Glasgow & Clyde Inverclyde Royal Hospital / General Medicine ( wards G North, G South, J North, J South & L South)

(as the patient),

I was admitted to Inverclyde Royal Hospital yesterday with varying symptoms that have been on going for two months and quite unexplainable.

From my own GP Dr Royal’s great care and persistence on getting me the right medical help straight through to the absolutely wonderful medical team at J North at the IRH.

I was very worried about being admitted to hospital during the pandemic but from the minute I arrived the medical team alleviated my fears.  The standard of cleaning and wiping I witnessed was incredible. However, the attention and professionalism I received was second to none.  They moved at speed to get me tests and results to ensure they knew as quickly as possible what they were dealing with.  They didn’t stop moving at such a fast pace the entire time I was in that ward.  Despite the ward being full their care for me as an individual was just incredible. 

Despite all of the NHS putting themselves at risk on the front line for people like me on a daily basis, they just never stop sharing their care about everyone no matter the ailment.

I think all of the NHS are fantastic, but I would like to say that all the staff on J North were second to none and make a great cuppa to calm nerves.

Thank you Clare and all of the team at J North, IRH, I appreciated everything you done.

Dear Debs

Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to share your lovely feedback, which the staff on J North and, Claire especially, were delighted to receive.

It was particularly heartening for the staff to know that you felt so well look after and reassured at this time of unprecedented challenge for our service. The team in J North aim to provide compassionate, patient centred care. It was very encouraging for them to hear that you felt this was your experience and that their efforts have been rewarded.

I do hope that you are now beginning to recover from what must have been a very worrying time.
