I attended the surgery as what I thought was a routine appointment. I was examined and what I thought I was suffering from was ruled out. However the Doctor was concerned about the symptoms I described and immediately made arrangements for me to be seen at hospital. Within a couple of days I had a home appointment with the hospital. The following week I had a CT scan and a colonoscopy. It was discovered I had cancer. I had an operation even though coronavirus was with us. If i had not have had it I may have had to go in as a emergency which may have been life threatening. I had the cancer removed and I am going to have chemotherapy just to destroy any cancer that at have spread even though no evidence of this had been found. I am so thankful for the efficiency and kindness of all concerned and thank the initial speedy action by the Doctor as the title says saved my life.
