I was admitted to Queen Elizabeth suffering chest pain. It became evident after some initial tests that I was suffering Cardiac infraction. I was treated very well by the doctors and nurses who kept me informed what was happening and why.
The staff although busy were always happy to help.
During the night time I then suffered a Cardiac arrest and had it not been for the CPR and defibrillator I would not have survived. It was due to the alertness of the night time shift who spotted the anomaly in my readings that I made it and I will be eternally grateful to all concerned.
The doctors then arranged a transfer to the Golden Jubilee to have a stent fitted to help with the damage to my heart.
The professionalism shown by all the staff from A&E through to the Coronary care unit (where they saved my life) the porters the ancillary staff all have my eternal thanks.
I am only sorry that I dd not have individual names to thank but I am sure you will be able to trace who was on shift on the evening shift that Sunday in April in the Coronary care unit.
