About: Specialist Therapy Services / Community Stroke Team – South Notts

(as a service user),

On returning home from my stroke I was very quickly contacted by the local stroke team from Park House who came to visit me within the week. Both occupational therapy and the physio team were very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. We quickly received equipment to ease the situation and they really couldn't have helped more. They were very professional, provided lots of exercises and small equipment to help with dexterity. Visits were regular (until the pandemic! ) but contact still remained and they were very reassuring.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Community Stroke Team. This is wonderful feedback and I will pass this on to the team at park house.

It is really important to us that our patients, families and carers let us know how well / or not we are doing in order that we shape the delivery of services to become as patient /family/carer centred as we can.

I am pleased that you received the right amount of care and support following your stroke. We have been adapting the way we work to try and continue to support as many people as we can, whilst reducing the risk of exposure during this pandemic. Your feedback is very important to us and we are very pleased that you reassured and still supported during this time.
