"A warm and friendly environment"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Clinical haematology

(as a service user),

My Mum had been ill for around a year and was in constant pain. She came in for a bone marrow biopsy at the Haematology Clinic with Jane who was assisted by a trainee nurse.

I cannot stress enough how amazing Jane was throughout the procedure. I was allowed into the room to support my nervous Mum, Jane thoroughly explained everything she was doing to Mum, she kept me in the loop and ensured she was continuing to train, explain and support the trainee all at the same time. It was a warm and friendly environment and we did not feel there was a rush to leave until we were ready.

I really appreciated the great service provided and am very thankful for the organised and efficient manner used to treat my Mum.

Thank you so much.

Dear No name provided,

Jane will be delighted to receive your warm words of praise and gratitude. This is the level of service that we aspire to as an organisation for every person (and their family), every time.

Teaching is also fundamental to the development of staff so that our workforce is able to continue to provide a quality service for the people of Lanarkshire. Your feedback speaks volumes about the standards being passed on to those who will be providing our care in the future.

It will be my pleasure to share your feedback with Jane and the team.

I wish your mum well with her ongoing treatment and care.

Kind regards

Rick
