"The whole team made me feel relaxed."

(as a service user),

I was recently booked in for a planned C-section. I was extremely nervous given the current situation but all the staff in the maternity unit were fantastic.   Due to the time of my operation I had the same midwife, Susie, with me all day. She was professional, caring and completely put me at ease. The obstetrician and anaesthetist fully explained everything to me and gave me options about my operation. The whole team made me feel relaxed.

Congratulations on the birth of your baby and thank you for the lovely feedback.

I appreciate these are uncertain times for you all, but I am pleased you felt the service you received was 'fantastic' and they made an anxious time easier for you. We aim to deliver person centred care whilst adhering to NHS Borders Values.
