"Counselling for depression due to unresolved issues"

About: Inclusion Thurrock (Talking Therapies)

(as the patient),

My counsellor Ian was extremely helpful. He helped me see that all it takes is to see things differently and learn to accept things that cannot be changed. I am so grateful that with his help I was able to finally make peace with some issues that I had been dealing with for years! I really recommend anyone who is thinking about counselling to go for it. I cannot explain to you how much it helps.

Dear Jem91,

Thank you for sharing your experience, I’m glad to hear that our service was able to help you find some relief from what you had been dealing with. It can be really hard to change the way we think about situations and to accept that some things are outside of our control. I’m sure you put in a lot of effort to be able to see things differently now. Well done for reaching out and talking about what you were feeling, as you said, sometimes it can take years to build up the courage to do this and that’s okay. Thank you for encouraging others to take the same brave step and I hope that we’ll be able to support them in the way that Ian supported you. I’m sure he’ll be pleased to hear that he was able to help you to feel comfortable and to make your peace with the past.

All the best,

Chloe Anderson.
