"Inedible food"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / General surgery (Wards 9a, 9b, 9c & 9d)

(as the patient),

I am in the QE awaiting surgery. The staff and care are amazing but the food is the worst I have ever experienced. People should not be expected to eat food of such a low quality. It’s difficult enough being in hospital without being subjected to inedible food, I don’t know how patients can regain their strength if they can’t eat.

Hello Ajay,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience of our food. As you say, it is important that patients have nutritious meals to help them get well, so I have shared your comments with our Catering team.

I hope that all goes well with your surgery and you make a speedy recovery.

Many Thanks,

Rachel
