after having a painful and evasive wisdom tooth extraction in hospital, where the pain( because of nerve damage) latest longer than 7 days I required a med cert for my employers, rang once and was told it was the dentist that did that, went to the dentist, they suggested the doctor. Went back to the doctor, yes they can if I provide proof of surgery, will take 2 days. Was patient and rang 2 days later to be told no they can’t now it’s rhe dentist or hospital, rang the hospital, they discharge after 72 hrs, it’s the doctors, spoke to doctor receptionist in morning, they said they can, went back in the afternoon, no they can’t now. After already telling my employer that I can have a sick note-I can’t!!! Likely now to have a formal warning or potentially sacked because of the terrible advice from her- and the ONE and only doctor didn’t get in until 2pm ! Avoid the receptionists at all times, no sympathy for situations or people. They didn’t even have a complaint form when I asked for one !! Awful service
