"Does not have a practice leaflet"

About: Park End Surgery

I have not seen the Practice leaflet recently. Not for at least two years. It is not an optional extra. It is still required under the NHS contract. Surely it is needed particularly for people who are digitally excluded or do not have easy access to a computer or prefer to live without one. Park End has a contractual obligation to amend and update the leaflet at least once a year. The original leaflet, specially prepared for Park End Surgery as a stapled booklet by a publishing company in Lancashire, printed on shiny paper, was updated and reprinted several times. Many GP practices produce their leaflet more simply using A4 white pages folded over- presumably less expensive and quicker to produce and easier to update regularly. The last inspection of the surgery by the Care Quality Commission was in August 2016. Will a new leaflet be ready in time for their next visit? The role and current intentions of the Patient Participation Group Committee are unclear. Last year Park End started to seek its suggestions for improving the website but the PPG has never been consulted by Park End Partners about amendments or other desirable changes to the leaflet and has never asked to be consulted.
