Summer 2019 I started to ache in every joint so made a telephone consultation with one particular doctor, we discussed my problem and decided to stop taking statins and see if the aches stopped. I had another telephone consultation two weeks later to see oi there was any change. there was not any improvement so this doctor ask that I have a blood test and make an appointment to see him, which I did. He then asked that I continue for a further two weeks without the satins and have another blood test and make another appointment which I did without any problem. At this appointment this doctor informed me that I had Polymyalgia rheumatica and that the treatment was a course of steroids, which I started on Tuesday afternoon and by the time I went to bed all my aches and pains had disappeared, pain free fantastic.
Further more I received a phone call from this doctor enquiring how was managing with the Steroids. Fantastic service Thank you to this doctor.
