Since my last recent review I had a hospital short hospital stay for an orthopaedic op. Post op, elevating my limb was a priority so I was discharged home by stretcher transport the 101 miles. I ensured that my discharge notes were handed in to WMP along with a request for stretcher transport for my scheduled return to clinic. I hadn''t heard anything so I called to be told the letter and notes couldn't be found.
The secretary would call the hospital and I was given the transport provider number to make my own arrangements.
Bearing in mind I'd left hospital self injecting heparin and with morphine for pain relief as well as a long term BP problem I had anticipated a follow up check particularly as I did become ill necessitating an ambulance trip to N&N for iv fluids and antibiotics .
