"I need to speak to my mum's stroke specialist"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / General Medicine (Wards 5 & 8)

(as a relative),

my mum is currently in Wishaw General and I need to speak to her Stroke specialist. I have called to speak to their receptionist on numerous occasions to arrange a telephone meeting but it continously rings out. How am I meant to arrange this if I can't get in contact in the 1st instance.

I am sorry that you have been unable to contact your Stroke specialist to discuss your mum's treatment plan. Can you please contact Patient Affairs at University Hospital Wishaw on ext 01698 366558 and they will arrange a meeting with your Specialist

I apologise for any any additional distress thi shas caused you during this difficult time

Thank you for taking the time to contact me today and again apologies for the difficulties you experienced trying to make contact with the hospital. I managed to speak to the consultant's secretary after our call and one of us will be in touch once we have made arrangements with the consultant.
