"Brilliant staff! "

About: University Hospital (Coventry)

I came to UHCW’s early pregnancy unit with severe back and abdominal pain, at 12 weeks pregnant. With the new coronavirus restrictions my partner was not able to come onto the ward with me. I was already feeling really scared, but having to be on my own made it so much worse for me (as I also suffer with an anxiety disorder). However, within about 10 minutes of arriving I was seen to by a really friendly and sympathetic nurse, and about 20 minutes after that by a doctor. I ended up having an exam that I was really nervous for, but the doctor I saw and the attending nurse talked me through it really calmly. They were both very supportive and friendly, none of my questions seemed too silly and they took the time to answer everything for me as best they could. If it wasn’t for them I likely would’ve spent my entire stay feeling very anxious and scared, but they made it bearable for me. The review restrictions said not to mention names or features, but if someone from UHCW sees my review, I would love it if they could be identified and get some recognition for how good they both were to me.

I would definitely recommend the staff here!
