.y daughter was admitted as an emergency due to undiagnosed diabetes. She wasn't too far from a diabetic coma. As you would expect the staff treated my daughter, but they were phenomenal, from the staff who seen her in A&E to the ward staff. My daughter was in the high dependency unit in the ward, she was being checked every 30mins to every hour for 36 hours straight. While doing this they managed to reassure both of us, showed endless patience and care, ( they even phoned up on their days off to find out how she was doing) and encouraged her to keep fighting when she wanted to give up.
When she was at her sickest they managed to make her smile.
A massive thank you to everybody in A&E and on Kipling ward especially, including the domestic staff (who were also great with her) . They are special people who feel its 'just their job'. Not in my book, absolute Angels. Above and beyond!!
