Dear Lwest

I was very sorry to read this today (apologies for the delay). Patients being able to reach their buzzers is one of our main patient safety interventions that we can do. It is part of our falls prevention strategy. As such, buzzers being removed should never happen and I apologise that this did happened in an area I have responsibility for. I will ensure the Senior Charge Nurse is made aware of this situation and that she speaks to her team about it. If you have any further detail you could share with me to help me with any further investigation that might be possible please do get in touch. I can be contacted by email at loldroyd@nhs.net

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and please accept my apologies once again.
