"Rubbish"

About: Alwoodley Medical Centre

I telephoned for an appointment and expected to wait around two weeks, especially as it was of a musculoskeletal nature. However the receptionist laughed down the phone and said your looking at nearer 5 weeks for an appointment as your none urgent. Eventually after much discussion she relented and I had a phone consultation the next day. Maybe if she had delivered the news with empathy it wouldn’t have been so bad. In the end it turned out it was more urgent than I thought so waiting wasn’t a good idea.

May I apologise for the response you received from of one of our administrators and obviously this matter will be raised with staff. We have telephone appointments every day if you wish to speak to a doctor and if the doctor feels you need to be seen they would offer you an appointment. Unfortunately as you have submitted an anonymous comment, I am unable to investigate this matter. If you would like to contact the surgery we would be able look in to the issue.
