"Lovely Nurses, Awful Consultant "

Unfortunately my experience with the consultant I was referred too at Fulwood Hall has put me off ever attending this hospital again, even though I would like to hope they are one of a kind. I had 2 appointments with the consultant and they both lasted less than one minute. The first time I was told I was being sent for a test, the second time I was told the test was fine and therefore so am I and so I was being discharged. How I wish that was the case! Not once was I asked any questions or given the chance to talk. I am very concerned if that is as far as a 'specialists' ability goes, to deduce someone is 'making up' symptoms if one tests comes back clear. I tried to explain how this is the case but I was literally just stared at and pointed towards the door. I left the hospital in tears after that second appointment, I had been undiagnosed and misdiagnosed for 2 years and this consultant was my last hope which just turned into absolute humiliation. A lovely nurse followed me out to check I was okay but I was so hysterical I just wanted to get away! I have since emailed the hospital as well as submitted an official complaint via their website which the policy states you will hear back from, been 6 months now and haven't heard anything. I do hope this was a one off and not because I was an NHS referral, as nobody deserves to be made to feel like that! That said, I certainly won't be rushing back.
