About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Maternity care Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Reproductive Health (Simpson Centre)

(as the patient),

I was admitted in to hospital I am 34 weeks with twins. And contractors and pain. I was worried about having no visiting but it seems to be the best thing I can sleep when I want to midwifes are fantastic they picked up mine and babies bags from reception. For me I really think the nhs midwifery should look at making the visiting more tight for everyone. Fathers and birthing partners allowed in but not 24 hours a day.

Dear Sm24

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of using maternity services.

I am glad the staff were fantastic and that you were able to have enough rest. Being pregnant is exhausting especially with twins.

I hope your contractions have stopped and that the twins remain where they are for another few weeks as that is the best place for them.

Many women have commented on how peaceful the wards have been while visiting has been restricted and I am sure your feedback will contribute to a review of the visiting times.

Regards

Frances
