"My husbands visit"

About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

My husband, who has mixed dementia, managed to pull his catheter out causing a lot of trauma and blood loss. District nurse attended but decided he needed an ambulance. Because of his mental condition I was allowed to go with him.

The staff were brilliant, everyone of them caring, professional and friendly. It turned out to be quite a complex procedure to fix him and we were there about 7 hours.

I had to wear PPE which was so uncomfortable, how the staff do it day in and day out at the moment is amazing.

Just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone.
