"Great practice"

I have been a patient with a long-term health condition at this practice for over 25yrs now and have always been treated in a friendly, efficient & timely manner, but these are difficult times at the moment with our NHS services stretched to breaking point courtesy of Covid-19!

So I was amazed to get a call out of the blue by one of the Doctors there just as we'd gone into lock-down.

The week before she'd rung to let me know that the blood tests requested by my specialist consultant had come back clear, which was great to know but didn't really help to shed any light on the symptoms i was experiencing. We'd agreed then that i would contact him direct to see how to proceed with it, bearing in mind we could see things were probably about to change because of Covid-19, but he knew me and my condition well.

The call, she said, was just to check that i was okay and hadn't fallen down a gap in the services which might have left me feeling even more vulnerable. I was very touched and grateful for her thoughtfulness!

Lock-down hasn't come at the best time for me health-wise but all of the staff at the John Hampden Surgery have been very supportive and understanding, and have ensured that I've had the telephone consultations and any necessary medication in a very timely way.

I'm so grateful that I'm a patient under their care and thoroughly recommend their practice to anyone looking for a kind, caring & personal service.
