Thank you for taking the time to post another review about the care and treatment you have received at Eastbourne District General Hospital; once again, we really appreciate your kind words. We very much hope your treatment is continuing to go well, and send you our best wishes for a good recovery.

The Trust is very proud of the high standards of care it provides to patients, which has recently been reaffirmed by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) who have awarded us a rating of “Outstanding” for care and “Outstanding” for effectiveness of services; and even more so in the current climate as we work hard to manage the events emerging from the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. We are therefore delighted to read that your most recent episode of care followed in the footsteps of the experience you had on the Pevensey Day Unit last year; the continuity of a high standard of care must have been a great source of comfort for you, and further bolstered your confidence in the service and the staff caring for you. It is also pleasing for us to read that staff treated you with our values of kindness, compassion, dignity and respect, and kept you informed at all times as to what was happening with your treatment.
