I had to attend the CT Department for a scan. Due to the current problems I was unsure if my scan was going to go ahead but I was told it was. I was extremely grateful that I was getting my scan done as my condition had deteriorated.
When I arrived at the Department I was warmly greeted by the lady on the reception desk. Before my scan took place I had to have a cannula inserted as my scan required dye to be put through my body. The man putting the cannula in was friendly and chatty even though they must have been under stress. I was made to feel like an individual and not just another patient. Once inside the scanning room the rest of the staff were also friendly and chatty. Considering the circumstances the staff treated me as an individual and made me feel at ease and comfortable. Everything was explained to me so that I knew exactly what would be happening. The staff in the department are doing an excellent job under difficult circumstances.
