(as a service user),

I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2019,the care I have received was excellent,the chemo ward ladies 310 have so much time for everybody ,my oncologist was brilliant ,said it how it was ,explained everything to me ,mr mcgoldrick.my breast cancer nurse Shona ,kept me goin she is my angel , all the breast nurses were always nice an patient, my surgeon mr Nadeem was wonderful,. Ward 208 the nurses there have so much time for you .ward 309, one Senior nurse told me I would only need paracetamol for the pain of having my breast removed,?.

If only she knew ,was not happy with that comment.overall all I can say I will never forget the treatment I had from Ari they saved my life ,I will always be eternally grateful.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of the care you received during your recent treatment for breast cancer. I am delighted to hear that the team spent time with you, giving a full explanation regarding your care and provided the high standard of support they aspire to deliver. I will share your post with the senior charge nurse on ward 310, Mr McGoldrick, your oncologist, Shona and the other breast care nurses, Mr Nadeem, your surgeon and the Senior Charge Nurse for Ward 308/309.

I have discussed the comment made about pain relief, by a senior nurse, which undermined the pain you experienced following surgery, with the Senior Charge Nurse, who will raise this at the next team meeting for staff learning.

I hope you are recovering well following your treatment and thank you again.
