"Daughter and bronchiolitis"

About: Croydon University Hospital / Paediatrics South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / NHS 111

(as a parent/guardian),

At the end of October 2018 me and my husband noticed our 1 year olds breathing had started to change, she had a temperature and did not want to move or eat. I phoned 111 and explained what was going on, I couldn't have asked for nicer, more efficient advisor on the other end of the phone. She sent an ambulance for my daughter straight away and she was rushed to hospital. It turned out my daughter had bronchiolitis and wasn't getting enough oxygen. We stayed in hospital on an isolation ward for 1 week until she could keep her oxygen levels up by herself. I will forever be grateful to the nhs 111 health advisor who made the decision to call an ambulance. And to all the doctors and nurses who helped her during that week.

Thank you very much for your kind comments about the 111 Health Advisor you spoke to when your daughter needed help.

In order that we can pass your comments onto the member of staff concerned, please can you let us know your address and your daughter's name. As we are not office based at the moment, it would be helpful if you could email us at pet@secamb.nhs.uk

We look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes

Marie
