Attended as I had sliced the tip of my finger and it had been bleeding on and off for an hour. The staff were very nice but I feel underestimated the dressing required, maybe because it appeared to have stopped bleeding. The dressing of choice was a "Cosmopor E 7.2cmx5cm and unfortunately on the way home. although elevated, my finger started bleeding again. Consequently the dressing fell off and I was left trying to staunch the flow half way down Poulton Street.
When I reached home I used one of the extra dressings I was given and reinforced it with kitchen towel and sellotape.
Although the injury was minor I don't think the potential for a secondary bleed was appreciated even though I had advised the staff that I do get "White finger" which obviously has an influence on the bleeding capacity when it warms up.
This is not meant as a complaint, merely a gentle comment to bear in mind for future fingers.
"A little disappointed."
