"Poor service"

About: Crawcrook Medical Centre

Great difficulty getting through to the surgery on the telephone often waiting in a very long queue. One person on the reception desk is not enough to take phone calls and also to deal with patients at the desk. Often there is a long line at the desk & there is absolutely no privacy whatsoever. Waiting times for prescriptions and appointments is not acceptable. It is almost impossible to book a repeat appointment with a GP when you try to do this on the day (as per GP request). You are told that you cannot book in advance, then advised to ring on the day as "an urgent appointment". I think that this is an abuse of the reason behind the urgent appointment system & if you do choose to do this the wait to get through by telephone is ridiculously long. I don't think that this practice has enough staff to cope with the amount of patients on their caseload.

Dear Anonymous

If you would like to contact the Practice via email on ngccg.A85014@nhs.net we can look into this for you.

Rest assured the person on the front desk does not take incoming calls apart from internal queries.

we look forward to hearing from you to enable us to resolve your issues.
