"The doctor was very helpful"

About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital / Neurology

(as the patient),

I had an outpatient appointment last week with one of the STH neurologists, Dr Hewamadumma. This was in relation to headaches I have been suffering for the last 14 months. My GP and I had worked together constructively on various approaches including medication and self-help but we were not able to resolve it, hence the hospital appointment.

Dr Hewamadumma was very helpful, had read my notes carefully and listened to me well. I felt very comfortable with him and he combined clinical expertise with a very human approach. The diagnosis still isn't fully clear, but we have a couple of options to try and I am now taking a new medication and also following his advice on improving my sleep. I am starting to feel better and am very grateful.

Thank you for leaving feedback. Your kind and positive words will mean a great deal to the consultant concerned, who will be very encouraged to receive them. It is great to hear you are starting to feel better.

With thanks and best wishes for your ongoing treatment
