I was sitting watching T.V. and then suddenly I experienced something making strange movements at the outside corner of my right eye. This lasted for about 15 minutes or thereabouts. Then I decided to do some paperwork and after approximately 25-30 minutes suddenly my hand would not write whilst my head knew what I wanted it to write!!
The added problem was that I have Giant Cell Arteritis .
On arrival at A & E various tests etc were duly done and the following morning Dr. Dan Beckett saw me and said that he had organised for me to have an MRI done and someone from Rheumatology Department and also someone from Neurology came to see me.
I felt that everything that could be done was being done and I am very grateful to Dr. Beckett and his staff for the excellent care and attention I received while in the Clinical Assessment Unit.
The diagnosis was migraine which came as a great surprise to me but also as a great relief that it had nothing to do with either of the two problems mentioned above.
Once again many grateful thanks to Dr. Beckett and to all the other departments involved for the extremely good care and attention and also apologies to Dr. Beckett for the awful delay in getting this feedback to him, as I promised I would do it but had to wait for help with the computer.
"Excellent care and attention"
