"Compassionate Nurses"

About: Larkfield Unit

(as a relative),

My mum was a patient in ward three in the Larkfield unit at Inverclyde Royal Hospital. I can’t thank the staff enough after bad experiences with hospitals in the past. Two nurses that stood out for me were two called Pam and Jen. They were incredibly caring and the compassion just shone from them. They lit up the room. My mum has dementia and can be challenging but nothing was too much to ask and the care and treatment my mum received felt like it could have been their mum in that bed. I admired them with other patients in the room and there was plenty of laughs. A pair of diamonds during a stressful time. The definition of a nurse. I would like you to pass on my praise and appreciation to the manager.

Hello Mich66,

I'm sorry to hear that your mum was in hospital recently but I'm so pleased that the staff looked after her so well.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such lovely feedback with us, it's absolutely fantastic to hear what a difference our staff can make to someone's experience of being in hospital.

I have passed your kind words on to the manager for the service and the chief nurse for the area.

All the very best,

Rachel
