"an Orthopaedic appointment"

About: St Michael's Hospital (Hayle)

(as the patient),

A very disappointing meeting with a Dr who, apart from obligatory fat-shaming and not accepting reasons that have contributed to my situation; went further to accuse me of lying when I offered anecdotal evidence of a certain treatment available in Canada.

I left feeling humiliated and angry.

Hi BarneysDad,

I am so sorry that you came away from your appointment feeling humiliated and angry. That is certainly not the experience we want for our patients, or behaviour that we accept from our colleagues.

Please could you contact our patient experience team by phone 01872 252793 or email rcht.patientexperience@nhs.net and we can look into this for you.

Again, I apologise for the way that you were left feeling and hope that we can rectify this for you and prevent something similar happening in the future.

Kind regards

Shelley
