About: Ninewells Hospital / Acute Medical Unit (AMU)

(as a relative),

I was in visiting a relative late Saturday evening and I couldn't help but notice this obnoxious staff member stomping around the ward swearing in a loud voice.  It put myself and others feeling very unsure about the ward    The patient next to my relative asked her for a jug of fresh water this staff member replied Eh when I get time.

Thankful a healthcare worker was assigned to this bay and was seeing to everyone needs    After asking my relative how the night went they said ok but not had much sleep due to the loud swearing obnoxious staff member.

It's such a shame that 1 person can let the whole team down.

Thank you for taking the time to feed your experience back to us. This is not the standard of conduct we would expect from any member of staff and we are disappointed that this has been observed by patients and visitors. I will pass your feed back on to our Acute Medical Unit Senior Nurse and Clinical Lead for their consideration, requesting that they share this with the team of staff who were working that evening.

I am sorry that you were made to feel very unsure about the ward because of an individual member of staff's behaviour and that your relative was unable to sleep because of this. If you have any further information you can provide about the events of this particular evening, I would encourage you to share this with our Feedback Team to allow us to investigate this further.

I hope your relative is feeling better now and thank you again for your feedback.
