"Shockingly poor "

About: Ritchie Street Group Practice

My epilepsy medication was was stopped by the practice because I was informed that I needed a medication review. Having had to wait just under two weeks for an appointment despite my medication running low on the day my appointment was cancelled due to a no show by the doctor or nurse carrying out the review. The worst part about this is the administrative team simply lie straight to your face saying messages were sent out about the cancellation when they clearly had not. Had I not arrived at the practice on the day of the appointment they probably would not have even thought or cared about booking a new appointment or has the foresight to think that medication reviews are a very serious matter for some patients. This is not the first time I’ve had these types of issues with his practice and it is simply another event in a long line of incidents. Completely unacceptable and frankly bordering on negligent.

Dear patient

At times our clinical staff are unable to run their scheduled clinic due to ill health. We often send out txt messages to inform the patient when this is the case. Please do check that we have your correct mobile number. Where possible we try and match appointments with other clinicians, however that is not always possible. We apologise that you had to wait a few weeks to get your issue resolved.
