"Quick & professional care"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Minor Injuries Unit

(as the patient),

The experience at the unit was quick and professional and the staff were excellent. What a good idea to have this unit. Happy patient! I had an examination, an X-ray which detected the root of my pain, a Broken shoulder. I was given a sling and painkillers.

Dear Piecenjeely

Thank you for your post. I hope that you are recovering well and not in too much discomfort.

The concept of minor injuries units (MIU) is well established. The one at the Queen Elizabeth is temporary in an attempt to reduce the number of patients attending the main department. We also have an MIU at Stobhill and also at the New Victoria. Hopefully you will have no need to use in the future but there for easy access should you need.

We always appreciate the posts from anyone that uses our services and circulate to the staff.

Many thanks again

Carol-Ann
