"Completely put me off"

About: Victoria Hospital / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

This is my 2nd endoscopy/gastrocopy with sedation.

My first was 6 years ago, and the endoscopist was amazing,  I literally have NO recollection of anything.

This was just horrendous. I was given 3mg of midazolam....I get four times that amount at the dentist for an extraction!

I was totally awake, completely aware, I'm distress, gagging,  retching and trying to pull the scope out three times.

This has completely put me off EVER having another scope.
