"Happy Hospital"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (London)

I lost my appetite. In December and in early February I went to A and E I was admitted and a bed was found quite quickly taken on to a couple wards and ended up on ward 14. The nursing staff were excellent most seemed happy and cheerful together with the Doctors which of course helps the patients seeing a smiling face. I was on this ward for a fortnight although one does not want to be in hospital when I was feeling better quite enjoyable. I have a brother who has been ill for sometime and with his problem he has seen the inside of many hospitals some good others poor he described the QEH like being in a 5 star hotel. One student nurse on the ward was exceptional.

Dear John,

I really appreciate your comments concerning your stay on Ward 14, and recognising what we do on a daily basis - providing a high standard of care for our patients. It is sometimes difficult to meet the different needs of our patients but we always work towards maintaining a courteous and friendly environment for all patients and staff.

Thank you very much for writing in and I will feed this back to the rest of the team.

Kind Regards,

Patricia Okoro
