My wife was discharged from hospital, I was struggling with the mobility of my wife due to, not having the proper equipment in home. a couple of days later I contacted the oncology department where my wife was attending, As I had know idea where to turn to, They contacted the SPOC, and with in 1: 5 Hours of the call I was visited by a member of the Nithsdale community Rapid Response team, this service is run by NHS Scotland, The ANP who attend was very professional towards my wife and myself, The ANP took vital signs etc from my wife and assessed my home to see what equipment would be appropriately need for my wife, and my self from injuring either party when my wife needed toilet, washing and general mobility around the house, after the assessment all equipment was delivered in the matter of 2 hours which make a great difference on the care and well being of my wife and my self. I had to contacted the above, approximately 7 days later to request an other piece of equipment once again the above team delivered the equipment in hours I cannot thank the superb staff enough, for there professionalism and kindness when one is at a loss.
